In Gunma you will enjoy fruits grown by local farmers, soba noodles and rustic cuisine, while in Tochigi you will enjoy Japanese sake and traditional cuisine such as yuba. Back in Tokyo, you will visit a wasabi field and tea house, and finish with dinner with a night view of the city center.

A guided therapy walk along the Forest Therapy Roads in Okutama Town, in the westernmost part of Tokyo. Departing from Okutama Station, you will walk along the Tama River through the Hikawa Valley to the Toke Trail. You will stop for lunch along the way, with a boxed lunch made with local ingredients and original herbal tea to be savored in the forest.

A select store featuring specialty products from the Tama region carefully selected by the staff, with products ranging from household sundries to vegetables, frozen prepared foods, confectionery, tea, and more. The eat-in corner also has servers for sake tasting, where you can enjoy a drink while eating the food you just purchased.

5:30pm: SOMON KYORAISO HIGASHIMURAYAMA
This Japanese restaurant boasts dishes that make the most of carefully selected ingredients, including seasonal vegetables and seafood. For dinner, you can choose from kaiseki cuisine featuring black-haired wagyu steak, or grilled Japanese eel served on rice. You can also enjoy seasonal delicacies, such as foraged greens in early spring and hot pot dishes in winter.

9:30am: TEA ESTATE TERRACE CHANOWA
Located in the midst of a vast tea plantation, the terrace offers a 360-degree view of the tea fields. The entire terrace can be reserved with an advance booking, and can be used for a gathering, a nap, a photo shoot, or any way you like. With the "Tea Regions Tasting Plan" you can compare Sayama tea with teas procured from various tea-producing regions in Japan.

For lunch, you will visit a Japanese restaurant that serves dishes made with Sayama tea. The ‘tea foods’ such as tsukudani and croquettes are popular, as is the ‘9 Bowls of Color,’ which is a meal made with fresh local ingredients and served in nine small bowls. After your meal, try a set of Japanese sweets with matcha or sencha green tea.

3:00pm: SEIBU CHICHIBU EKIMAE ONSEN MATSURI NO YU (hot spring and shopping area)
This complex is directly connected to Seibu-Chichibu Station and features a natural hot spring pumped from approximately 2,000 meters underground and a Chichibu souvenir market in the shopping area. After relaxing in the onsen, refresh yourself with craft beer, ice cream, and drinks. The restaurant "Chichibu Yu Daidokoro" is a great place for dinner with a variety of food, alcohol, and soft drinks.

Lunch is at a diner that serves 100% buckwheat soba noodles. The buckwheat flour used here is grown under contract with a farmer in Minakami Town, Gunma Prefecture. The tenzaru Soba features tempura made with plenty of vegetables from the produce market. Fried fresh tofu is also recommended.

1:00pm: TAKUMINOSATO STRAWBERRY HOUSE
Try your hand at making a smoothie from strawberries you have picked at a strawberry farm! In addition to the “yukidoke” variety of strawberries from the farm, you can choose another type of fruit such as blueberries or bananas for your smoothie. Create your own preferred texture and flavor using a mixer.

1:45pm: MARUHIRO FARM (apple picking)
Experience picking apples at a large 4-hectare farm. The freshly picked red apples are sweet and juicy, which you can also eat on the spot. Many varieties are grown, including Gunma Meigetsu, Fuji, Tsugaru, and Oze-no-kurenai, allowing you to taste the best apples in whichever season you visit.

Tea time includes sweets made with fruits from the orchard. For the cake set, which is only available when dining in, choose your favorite cake from the showcase as well as a drink and gelato. The shop offers a variety of seasonal cakes as well as classic cakes such as cheesecake.

This restaurant serves "Yamabito cuisine" that makes abundant use of seasonal ingredients grown in the mountains of Okutone, bounty from the Tone River, and the nearby fields. The Irori cuisine plan, which adds Irori cuisine to the Yamabito Cuisine, allows you to enjoy specialties such as savory meat and vegetables grilled over charcoal.

Taiyaki has been a favorite snack of Japanese people for over 100 years. At Guraku, visitors can experience making taiyaki by hand from the dough and using authentic commercial equipment to bake it. In addition to the standard taiyaki with sweet red bean paste and cream, you can also make different types of taiyaki, such as keema curry and cheese.

11:00am: FUJI ASAKUSA (knife sharpening experience)
This knife store is located near Higashi Honganji Temple, where you can experience sharpening a Japanese kitchen knife. After learning about the culture and history of Japanese kitchen knives, you will have the opportunity to actually sharpen a kitchen knife with a whetstone under the guidance of a craftsman. You can also experience cutting vegetables with the knife you have sharpened. You can also take home the knife you sharpened.

The Tenku Lounge is about 150 meters above ground, where you can enjoy a meal with the Tokyo SKYTREE® right in front of you. This urban distillery makes ethical craft gin by re-distilling sake lees that would otherwise be discarded in the sake making process. The distillery tour includes an explanation of the craft gin production process and ethical spirits from the staff, followed by a tour of the distillation room. Afterwards, you will taste craft gin at the bar/restaurant on the second floor.

Tour one of Nikko's oldest sake breweries, founded in 1842. In addition to a tour of the inside of the brewery, which cannot usually be viewed, you will also learn about sake and how to choose the right sake. A sake tasting experience is included, where you can sample several of the brewery's best sakes.

12:10pm: NIKKO HOSHINOYADO YOI-MURASAKI
Along with Kyoto, Nikko is also known for making yuba. Yuba is the film that forms on the surface when soy milk is boiled down, and the Nikko style is to fold it in two by lifting the film up from the middle. The lunch course "yuba gozen" offers nine yuba dishes, including "hikiage yuba," which is freshly prepared yuba, simmered dishes, and tempura.

Depart for the Okutama Wasabi Tour, where a wasabi farmer will guide you through the wasabi fields in this unexplored part of Tokyo! Take a close-up look at the precious wasabi fields and beautiful spring water while you walk in the great nature of Okutama. After the tour, you can sample a freshly made wasabi rice bowl made on site.

1:40pm: TEUCHI-SOBA TAMAGAWA-YA
This handmade soba noodle restaurant is 110 years old and serves freshly made soba noodles prepared with water from the mountains. The buckwheat flour is 100% domestically produced and mainly from Hokkaido, with only high-quality flour carefully selected. In addition to zarusoba, which allows you to fully enjoy the flavor of soba noodles, “meat nanban soba” is also recommended.

This historic mansion that faces the historic Tachikawa Kaido highway has been renovated into an atmospheric tea house. You will enjoy tea and a meal while overlooking the garden. The afternoon tea set includes a variety of seasonal fruit sweets such as tarts and jellies, as well as roast beef and Temari sushi, and is served with a drink of your choice.

A wide variety of alcohol is also available.
Rin is a mixed Japanese-English creator and a former Team Great Britain rhythmic gymnast and Olympian, while Jin from Japan shares surreal takes on Japanese culture that are highly popular overseas.
Both are internationally well-known for sharing practical tips on daily life in Japan and showcasing Japanese travel destinations.
